About Me
Aaron Shpiner, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine and the Institute for Critical Care Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed both his Internal Medicine residency and fellowship training in Pulmonary & Critical Care at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Shpiner’s clinical interests focus on the utilization of advanced echocardiography and ultrasonography in the practice of Critical Care Medicine. He maintains a board certification in Advanced Critical Care Echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography. He is a passionate educator, and has been a leader in curriculum development and implementation for ultrasonography for the Mount Sinai Hospital Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship. He is regularly invited to instruct at regional and national ultrasound courses. His research interests include exploring methods of integration and application of new technologies in critical care medicine.
