About Me
Dr. Abhinav Rohatgi joined Mount Sinai South Nassau in 2023 as a Hematology-Oncology physician specializing in thoracic cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, and blood cancers. Since 2025, Dr. Rohatgi has also served as an Assistant Professor of Hematology Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine. He is double board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Hematology Oncology.
After completing his undergraduate studies at New York University, Dr. Rohatgi earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. He then moved to SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital & Medical Center for his residency in Internal Medicine before completing his fellowship in Medical and Hematology Oncology at NYU Long Island Hospital.
Dr. Rohatgi has been involved in research studies ranging from biochemistry and oncology research to clinical trials investigating novel therapies for cancer and infectious diseases. He has served in leadership roles for multiple clinical trials, ensuring rigorous investigation of emerging therapies in diverse patient populations.
