Abigail K Allen, MD
Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Allen is the Chief of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, the Director of the Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic, and an Associate Professor at Mount Sinai in the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedics within the Mount Sinai Health System. Dr. Allen is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University. During her residency, she was selected for one of the most prestigious pediatric orthopedic fellowships in the country at Rady Children's Hospital affiliated with University of California San Diego. She more recently was selected to participate in a course affiliated with Harvard Business School on leading medical teams.
Dr. Allen's clinical interests include scoliosis, hip disorders, fracture care, and other pediatric conditions. She has presented at meetings, both nationally and internationally in places such as China, Honduras, and Austria. Dr. Allen is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the Scoliosis Research Society, and the American Academic of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She is the President of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of New York.
