About Me
Dr. Weissler-Snir received her MD from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Tel Aviv University, Israel. She completed a fellowship in inherited cardiovascular diseases at University College London (UCL), UK and in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and inherited arrhythmia at University of Toronto. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in electrophysiology at University of Toronto. She holds an MSc. In Epidemiology from University of London (UK). In 2019 she joined Hartford HealthCare in CT and established an inherited cardiovascular disease program.
Dr. Weissler-Snir joined Mount Sinai Heart in October 2023 as the Director of the Inherited Arrhythmia & Cardiomyopathy Cardiovascular Disease Program and a member of the Electrophysiology Faculty at Mount sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai Hospital.
Her focus is diagnosis and management of inherited cardiomyopathy (e.g. hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, left ventricular non-compaction) and inherited arrhythmia syndromes (e.g. long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia ). She performs interventional procedures including cardiac ablation and device implantation. In addition, She attends inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services and is actively involved in clinical trials research.
Her research focuses on prevention of sudden death and effects of exercise in inherited cardiomyopathy and arrhythmia syndromes. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers including papers as first author in Circulation, European Heart Journal and Heart Rhythm.
