About Me
Adriana Mendez earned her Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Washington in 2019.
She was a Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Trainee Awardee at the National Institutes of Health where she worked in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Holmes at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Here she studied the role of neurons and astrocytes of the amygdala in fear memories
She is now a neuroscience PhD student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
