About Me
Dr. Akiva Bergman has practiced Internal Medicine since 2007 and joined Mount Sinai in 2018. After graduating with his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Bergman completed his Internal Medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has developed a clinical interest in examining the effects of COVID, both short- and long-term.
When working with his patients, Dr. Bergman believes that two-way communication is the key to good health. He encourages his patients to discuss their concerns candidly, and provides them with all the information they need to make an educated decision about their health. Dr. Bergman is also bilingual, and can communicate with his patients in both English and Hebrew.
Outside of his time in the office, Dr. Bergman enjoys spending time with his family.
