Alexander Cheng-Jer Chung

About Me

Alexander is an MD/PhD student from Rockville, Maryland. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University where he researched the role of olfactory sensory neuron-derived extracellular vesicles in peripheral nerve regeneration in the lab of Dr. David Lin. After graduation, he worked in the lab of Dr. Mark Albers at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Program in Therapeutic Science where he studied neuroinflammation in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. He is interested in studying the genetics of immune cells in neurodegenerative diseases for his PhD. In his free time he enjoys exercising, trying food and drinks spots around New York, and curating his ever increasing number of Spotify playlists.
