About Me
Alexandra Abrams-Downey, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease and the Associate Director of the Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy at Mount Sinai St. Luke's. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Dr. Abrams-Downey received her medical degree from Tulane University where she also completed her Internal Medicine residency program. She did a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Abrams-Downey is a member of a multitude of professional organizations including Infectious Disease Society of America and HIV Medicine Association. Dr. Abrams-Downey's current interests include medical education, research on HIV prevention, quality improvement projects to increase engagement in HIV care and treatment as well as ongoing participation as a co-investigator on a number of clinical trials at the Clinical and Translational Research Center at Mount Sinai.
