Alexandra Demeglio, PA
Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) / Otolaryngology
About Me
Alexandra DeMeglio is the Physician Assistant (PA) to Dr. Satish Govindaraj, Chief of the Division of Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery and Dr. Iloreta, Rhinologist and Skull Base Surgeon. Born and raised Brooklyn, New York she attended Marist College as a Health Sciences major – a decision inspired by observing the PAs who were caring for her grandmother after open-heart surgery.
She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree at Marist in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology. She then received a Master’s of Science with a focus in Physician Assistant Studies from Wagner College. Alexandra launched her career at Staten Island University Hospital in 2012 as a surgical PA working in various subspecialties including breast oncology, trauma, and Surgical ICU. Alexandra has also worked in private practice in Primary Care and most recently with an allergy/immunology practice based in New York City and Queens.
Seeking to expand her skillset by focusing on rhinology, she joined Dr. Govindaraj’s team in September 2021, focusing on skin prick testing, allergic rhinitis and other sinus disorders. Alexandra learns from each patient she sees, loves patient care, and feels that patient education is vital to successful treatment and the overall patient experience.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. DEMEGLIO has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
