About Me
Dr. Alexandra C. Villasante Fricke is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism as well as in Internal Medicine. She specializes in evaluating adult patients for any of the following conditions: diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, calcium/parathyroid, and reproductive hormones.
Dr. Villasante (“Dr. V”) is part of the Virtual Primary Care team in order to provide comprehensive Endocrinology care via telemedicine to patients in NY, NJ, CT, PA, and FL. She can provide care in English and in Spanish. She believes in providing patient-centered care and guiding patients towards health and wellness.
After completing undergraduate studies magna cum laude at Duke, Dr. V graduated with Honors in Research from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her internal medicine residency at Brown University (Rhode Island Hospital) and her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism from the University of Miami (Jackson Memorial Hospital) where she was chief fellow.
Dr. V has experience in using nutrition to reverse type 2 diabetes as well as experience in telemedicine and digital healthcare.
