About Me
Dr. Alexandra C. Villasante Fricke, MD provides fully virtual/remote comprehensive Endocrinology care via telemedicine. She evaluates and treats adult patients with any of the following conditions (suspected or confirmed): diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and disorders of the thyroid, bone, calcium/parathyroid, and reproductive hormones. Conditions that will be referred to her in-person Endocrinology colleagues include disorders of the pituitary and adrenal glands, neuroendocrine tumors, thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, and evaluation of non-diabetes hypoglycemia.
After completing undergraduate studies magna cum laude at Duke, Dr. Villasante graduated with Honors in Research from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her internal medicine residency at Brown University (Rhode Island Hospital) and her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism from the University of Miami (Jackson Memorial Hospital) where she was chief fellow. Dr. Villasante is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism as well as in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Villasante is currently seeing patients located in NY and FL, though this will soon expand. Dr. Villasante can provide care in English and in Spanish. She believes in providing patient-centered care and guiding patients towards health and wellness.
