Alexis Zebrowski, PhD, MPH

About Me

Dr. Alexis M. Zebrowski is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with secondary appointments in the Departments of Population Health Science and Policy and the Institute of Translational Epidemiology. She serves as the Director of the Analytic Core in Department of Emergency Medicine. Her research interests include healthcare readiness, disaster preparedness and response, geriatric emergency medicine and trauma, and the use of administrative data to examine population-based outcomes and delivery system innovation.
Dr. Zebrowski’s research examines the intersection of system science, epidemiology, and healthcare delivery. She works closely with a multidisciplinary group of investigators to create novel solutions to improve outcomes for patients requiring emergency care, including incorporating the role of the built environment and community setting. Prior to joining the faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Zebrowski was a Research Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her doctoral degree in Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Dr. Zebrowski works closely with mentees on a wide-range of topics, including study design and data.
