About Me
Dr. Allen N. Sapadin is an Associate Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University and received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Prior to accepting a research fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Sapadin attended Rutgers Law School and graduated with honors.
He returned to Mount Sinai to complete a dermatology residency and served as Chief Resident in his third year. While a resident he earned many awards, including election to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. Each year this honor is bestowed upon three of six hundred residents at Mount Sinai Medical Center. In his third year of residency Dr. Sapadin was chosen by the American Academy of Dermatology to represent the United States at the annual British Association of Dermatologists meeting.
Dr. Sapadin is an internationally-known researcher whose curriculum vitae includes over 100 publications. He lectures widely at national and international meetings and is frequently invited by hospitals to give “Grand Rounds” presentations. Most recently, Dr. Sapadin edited a theme issue for the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine that is entirely devoted to Dermatology.
