Alyson Harty started working at Mount Sinai Hospital under the Icahn School of Medicine in 2012. She was a practicing as a Registered Nurse from 2012 - 2016. In 2016 she transitioned to a nurse manager role within the Institute for Liver Medicine.
In 2020 Alyson graduated from Stony Brook University with a Master of Science in Nursing and transitioned to a nurse practitioner role within the Institute for Liver Medicine.
She has a personal vengeance with hepatitis C as Alyson was also treated with Interferon for hepatitis C back in 2011 and is also cured from her chronic hepatitis C.
Her focus in clinical practice is treatment and management of various liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, metabolic associated steatohepatitis (fatty liver), autoimmune hepatitis, Primary sclerosing cholangitis, Primary biliary Cholangitis, alcohol related liver disease, cirrhosis, decompensated cirrhosis
