About Me

Amanda Owens, MD is an Internal Medicine physician providing comprehensive primary care services for adults at Mount Sinai Doctors West 8th Street in Manhattan. Dr. Owens is originally from Rye, NY. Dr. Owens attended college at the University of Chicago and received her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Long Island where she was a Gold Humanism Honor Society inductee and received multiple research grants and awards for her studies of maternal and fetal outcomes in patients with heart disease. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan as part of the Primary Care Track with a focus on outpatient medicine, patient advocacy, and healthcare leadership. She now provides the highest quality care for a range of medical concerns from acute and urgent visits to management of chronic conditions.

Dr. Owens has a particular interest in preventive care, diabetes, hypertension, wellness, and women’s healthcare. She believes in providing individualized care to each of her patients and building long-term relationships to best serve both their physical and mental health needs.
