About Me
Dr. Ameer Hmeidan is a board-certified internal medicine physician dedicated to delivering personalized, relationship-based care.
Dr. Hmeidan earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. Dr. Hmeidan completed his residency at Mount Sinai Health System in 2019, where he cared for a wide range of complex and rare medical cases that broadened his clinical expertise. During residency, he was recognized for his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care with the Dr. Irwin Berlin Award for Outstanding Humanism in Medicine. In his final year, he served as Junior Chief Resident and was honored as the Most Outstanding Third-Year Resident.
With nearly a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Hmeidan is committed to building long-term partnerships with his patients through a collaborative, team-based approach. His dedication to exceptional communication and individualized care earned him the Cullman Family Award for Excellence in Physician Communication in 2025.
Dr. Hmeidan provides comprehensive primary care for adults, with a strong focus on preventive medicine and long-term health optimization. His clinical expertise includes routine and travel immunizations, cancer screenings, medical clearance evaluations, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, including HIV PrEP, and the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, thyroid disorders, and mental health conditions. He works closely with each patient to develop personalized care plans that promote lifelong health and well-being.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Hmeidan enjoys attending live music events, playing pick-up basketball, and traveling with his family and friends.
Dr. Hmeidan is fluent in English and Arabic.
