About Me
Prior to beginning his work with Mount Sinai Doctors, Dr. Ameer Hmeidan completed his Internal Medicine residency training from an ACGME accredited program at Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai, Elmhurst. Dr. Hmeidan finished his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, and he then went on to obtain his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine, before beginning residency here in New York City with Mount Sinai. During his time in residency, he was exposed to many interesting and rare cases that diversified his experience in medicine. In his 2nd year, he was awarded The Dr. Irwin Berlin Award for Outstanding Humanism in Medicine. The following year, he served as the Junior Chief Resident, and finished the year being honored as the Most Outstanding Third Year Resident.
In his Primary Care practice, Dr. Hmeidan takes a preventative care approach, while also managing a wide range of conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, thyroid problems, cancer screening, medical clearance, routine/travel vaccinations. Through a compassionate bedside manner, he is dedicated to maintaining the well-being of every patient he treats, and is willing to work with each patient to come up with a comprehensive plan specific to their needs. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
The state of Florida requires out-of-state professionals who are registered to provide telehealth services to display a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health telehealth web page. This allows Florida patients who are receiving medical care by telehealth to confirm the provider’s licensure and Florida registration.
