About Me
Amir Mahajer, DO, FAOCPMR, FAAPMR is a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional physiatrist specializing in integrative pain, spine and sports medicine with special expertise in ultra-minimally invasive spinal procedures and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Mahajer’s clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, regenerative medicine and non-operative spine care from rehabilitation to maximal recovery. His research interest includes the use of orthobiologics in the treatment of spinal disorders.
Dr. Mahajer holds dual appoints as Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics, Division of Physiatry as well as the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He enjoys providing hands-on workshops, lecturing nationally and internationally on topics that range from point-of-care ultrasound to comprehensive spine care. His goal is to restore a person’s sense of well-being and improve functional outcomes as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
