About Me
Amish H. Doshi, MD is an Associate Professor of Radiology in the Division of Neuroradiology at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He serves as Chief of the Division of Neuroradiology at Mount Sinai, Fellowship Director of the Neuroradiology Fellowship and Associate Director of the Radiology Residency program. He is a board-certified Radiologist with specialty certification in Neuroradiology. Dr. Doshi is a graduate of the New Jersey Medical School where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the NYU Medical Center followed by a residency in Radiology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Doshi then completed fellowships in Diagnostic Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology at Mount Sinai. His combined training provides a unique approach to the diagnosis and treatment of various brain, head and neck, and spinal disorders. Dr. Doshi serves at the Director of Spine Imaging and Interventions with clinical interests and significant expertise in kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty for treatment of spinal compression fractures due to osteoporosis, multiple myeloma or cancer, sacroplasty for the treatment of fractures of the sacrum, ablation therapy for spinal and bony metastatic disease, epidural and spinal pain injections, as well as spinal bone and soft tissue biopsies. In addition, Dr. Doshi has performed numerous imaging-guided head and neck biopsies, including ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirations of thyroid nodules. He specializes in thyroid biopsy fine-needle aspirations using advanced techniques and genetic testing to obtain accurate diagnoses. Dr. Doshi has contributed to numerous publications and book chapters. He has given many talks and presented research at many national meetings. He is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and also holds membership in the American College of Radiology, American Society of Spine Radiology, North American Spine Society, Radiologic Society of North America, Eastern Neuroradiologic Society, New York Roentgen Society and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
