About Me
Dr. Amit Hooda is the Assistant Program Director of Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Heart, Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Hooda earned his medical degree from the Sardar Patel Medical College, University of Rajasthan, India. After earning his medical degree with honor, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Sawai Man Singh Medical College, followed by Cardiology Fellowship at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He received the best fellow award during his cardiology fellowship. Dr. Hooda continued his advanced training in Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Structural Heart Interventions.
Dr. Hooda is an interventional cardiologist with a specialized clinical focus in percutaneous coronary and structural heart disease interventions. His is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He is actively involved in clinical research and has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters, in addition to national and international conference presentations. Additionally, he also serves as a co-investigator in multiple interventional trials. His current focus is on optimizing complex coronary intervention outcomes using imaging guidance.
