About Me
Dr. Amy Spizuoco is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
In 1999, Dr. Spizuoco received her B.A. from Binghamton University and her D.O. degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. She did a one-year rotating internship at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn and from 2006-2007 did a volunteer fellowship at The Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology. Dr. Spizuoco completed her dermatology residency at the Alta Dermatology program in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona and served as Chief Resident in her final year. From 2011 to 2012, Dr. Spizuoco was a Fellow at the Ackerman Academy. She is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology and is licensed to practice medicine in New York.
She has written more than a dozen articles and has presented at the American College of Osteopathic Dermatology, the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, and the International Society for Dermatopathology among other venues.
Dr. Spizuoco believes that everyone has a unique concern particular to their skin, all of which is valid and must be addressed. Her passion driven by feild’s constant evolution: dermatologists learn more about skin diseases and find new medicines to treat people every day, making advancements she is honored to contribute to. She is enthusiastic about technology’s growth in her field, specifically lasers, which are used to help people’s skin conditions both medically and aesthetically. As a dermatologist and a dermatopathologist for Bobby Buka MD, she holds the patients, staff and the community she treats close to her heart.
