Andre Montazem, D.M.D., M.D., is an Assistant Professor and Residency Program Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr.
Montazem attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
and completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Mount Sinai.

Research
His areas of expertise include reconstruction of the jaw and correction of facial deformities. He
also has a special interest in cleft lip palate surgery. Dr. Montazem uses dental implants in the
jaws for functional jaw reconstruction as well as Orthognathic Surgery, which is a repositioning of
the jaw to improve the facial appearance as well as dental function.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
