About Me
Dr. Andrew Para earned his B.S. in Zoology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He went on to obtain his M.D. from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, received multiple awards for his academic performance, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Para completed his residency training at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois as one of a handful of physicians to pursue dual training in both internal medicine and dermatology as part of the Combined Medicine-Dermatology Residency Program. He is now board-certified in both specialties.
In concordance with his training background, Dr. Para’s primary clinical focus is on medical dermatology and managing patients with complex systemic disease processes with cutaneous manifestations. He has a particular interest in medical oncodermatology where he has developed an expertise in the skin findings associated with cancer and cancer treatments like chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy. Dr. Para also practices general dermatology and effectively manages the wide spectrum of skin diseases affecting patients of all ages. His goal is to provide competent and compassionate care for all patients and places special emphasis on ensuring his patients understand the science and medicine behind their skin diseases and prescribed therapies.
