About Me

Dr. Angie Wen is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and full-time member of the Ophthalmology Faculty Practice at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE).  She is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of patients with corneal and external diseases of the eye. She also performs cataract surgeries, anterior segment reconstructive procedures, corneal transplantation including DSAEK, and refractive procedures such as LASIK.

Dr. Wen is a graduate of the combined BA/MD program at Northwestern University, and completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to pursue fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia University in the City of New York. She served on the full time faculty of the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn for two years before joining the Faculty Practice at NYEE.

Dr. Wen is an Attending Ophthalmologist involved in supervising and teaching residents at NYEE. She has research interests in ocular surface disease and surgical techniques/outcomes, and has authored multiple articles and book chapters.

Dr. Wen is dedicated to her patients’ health and providing top-level care.  She believes in the importance of partnership and open communication between the doctor and the patient. She is accepting new patients at her 14th Street and Tribeca offices in Manhattan.
