Dr. Ania Wajnberg received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University. She attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and completed her internship and residency in the Primary Care/Social Medicine Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. She joined the Mount Sinai faculty in 2007 in the Mount Sinai Visiting Doctors Program, a house calls program for homebound adults in Manhattan. Dr. Wajnberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is the Clinical Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine. Her interests include high risk complex patients, and she has conducted research evaluating models of care for high utilizers of the health system. She is the author of numerous publications and speaks nationally on the topics of home based primary care, palliative care and symptom management, hospital at home, and care for the underserved.
