Anisha Garg, MD
Neurology
About Me
Anisha Garg, MD specializes in neuromuscular medicine with a focus on diagnosing and managing disorders affecting the connection between the nervous system and muscles. Dr. Garg graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine with a Masters in Bioethics and Medical Degree. She completed neurology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT and neuromuscular fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She is now an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai-Union Square.
She is developing a clinical practice caring for patients with diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), muscular dystrophies, peripheral neuropathies, myasthenia gravis, and more. She hopes to integrate clinical neurology, electrophysiology, neuromuscular ultrasound, and genetics to provide comprehensive care to her patient population with a holistic approach to enhance quality of life. Furthermore, she plans to participate in clinical trials and ongoing research to improve patient access to cutting-edge treatments. By fostering a collaborative environment, she will ensure comprehensive care coordination, working closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to address the diverse needs of patients. This holistic approach not only aims to enhance clinical outcomes but also supports patients in navigating the challenges of living with complex neuromuscular disorders.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Garg has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
