About Me
ANNA RHEE, MD, IS IN PRACTICE WITH ZHANNA RUTSTEIN-SHULINA, MD, DO
Anna Rhee, MD is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
As a mother of three, Dr. Rhee has a special viewpoint on the needs of her obstetric patients; she strongly believes that women should make their own choices among the various styles of labor. Dr. Rhee supports labor and birth at Mount Sinai West, from no intervention natural birth delivery to operative delivery. She supports trial of labor after cesarean delivery (TOLAC) and vaginal deliveries of twins, including breech extraction of twin B.
During her more than 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Rhee has found it rewarding to practice in a variety of clinics, including at a homeless shelter, the Chinatown Clinic, and a Korean clinic. Dr. Rhee has served as a volunteer doctor in Honduras and Kenya. She and her husband are co-founders of a leading agriculture farm in Uganda that supports Ugandan small farmers and are committed to empowering Ugandans to feed Africa.
Dr. Rhee joined the faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai in 1998. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, she was in private practice in New York City and also served as an attending physician at St. Vincent's Hospital and Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Rhee is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is fluent in Spanish and Korean.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
