About Me
Anna Pace, MD is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Director of the Headache Medicine Fellowship Program. She is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and in Headache and Pain Medicine by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialities. Dr. Pace has a clinical practice at Faculty Practice Associates at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and is the Director of Transgender Headache Medicine Program. Her clinical focus includes migraine aura, headache in pregnancy and during lactation, and headaches in the transgender and gender-diverse community. She is dedicated to providing culturally competent and compassionate care to meet the unique needs of her patients.
Dr. Pace is fellowship trained in headache and pain medicine and is proficient in administering botulinum toxin injections for migraine, nerve blocks, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, and trigger point injections. She takes a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to headache management, incorporating both pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic methods in patient care.
Dr. Pace is passionately involved in medical education for students, residents, and physician colleagues across multiple departments. She is the Associate Course Director for the Brain and Behavior course at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She was chosen to participate in the Harvard Macy Program for Post-Graduate Trainees: Future Academic Clinician Educators in 2017, and has utilized what she has learned to improve the educational experience for neurology residents in their headache clinic. She developed the neurology curriculum for the physician assistants working on inpatient neurology at Mount Sinai, and helped to coordinate the neurology residency curriculum as a chief resident, and the headache lecture series as a fellow. She currently gives lectures on headache medicine to the neurology residents and fellows.
Her work has been published in many neurology journals and she has presented at various conferences including the meetings for the American Headache Society, the Headache Cooperative of New England, the American Neurologic Association, and the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Pace offers telemedicine appointments when appropriate. Please call her office to schedule a video visit.
The state of Florida requires out-of-state professionals who are registered to provide telehealth services to display a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health telehealth web page. This allows Florida patients who are receiving medical care by telehealth to confirm the provider’s licensure and Florida registration.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
