Annette Czernik, MD is Associate Clinical Professor, voluntary attending at Mount Sinai Dermatology. Dr. Czernik is a board-certified dermatologist skilled in the treatment of the full gamut of skin conditions who specializes in the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as pemphigus and pemphigoid.
Dr. Czernik graduated at the top of her class from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She honed her interest in complex medical dermatology while completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Yale New-Haven Hospital and her dermatology training at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Czernik completed a yearlong clinical research fellowship in blistering diseases with the late Jean-Claude Bystryn, MD at NYU Medical Center. The focus of her research was investigating the optimal treatment for patients with recalcitrant autoimmune blistering disease.
She is the recipient of several notable research awards and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters relating to her work in pemphigus, pemphigoid and other autoimmune conditions. She has spoken at several national meetings including the recent International Pemphigoid and Pemphigus Foundation meeting held at the National Institutes of Health. Dr Czernik is skilled in the treatment of medical dermatology and sees patients of all skin conditions in her practice.
