About Me
Dr. DeVivo is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and holds appointments in both the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Institute for Critical Care Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System. He holds interests in trainee education with particular focus on critical care procedures and resuscitation in the emergency department, as well as the care of patients requiring surgical and cardiac critical care.
Dr. DeVivo completed his undergraduate education with a major in Neurosciences and minors in Chemistry at New York University and then went on to obtain his medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside and West Hospitals, with his final year as Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. DeVivo pursued a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital where he focused on surgical and cardiac critical care. Dr. Devivo currently attends in the Emergency Department as well as the Intensive Care Units at Mount Sinai Hospital where, in addition to caring for patients, he continues to devote his academic time to trainee education.
