About Me

Dr. Anu Thekkumkattil joined Mount Sinai Palm Beach as an Endocrinologist in 2019. After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, Dr. Thekkumkattil remained at the school for both her medical degree and medical training. Following her doctorate studies at the Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Thekkumkattil began her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Internal Medicine. For her subsequent Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism fellowship, Dr. Thekkumkattil acted as the Chief Endocrinology Fellow during her final year at Jackson Memorial Hospital. With her board certifications by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology, Dr. Thekkumkattil specializes in several areas of her field, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, and pituitary and adrenal disorders. Additionally, Dr. Thekkumkattil's proficiency in English, Spanish, and Malayalam gives her the ability to communicate more freely with a diverse population of patients.

Dr. Thekkumkattil is involved in multiple professional organizations, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society. She also conducted research for several years throughout her residency and fellowship at the University of Miami, and has presented her peer-reviewed publications at various endocrinology conferences.

When it comes to her work in medicine, Dr. Thekkumkattil finds endocrinology to be a highly challenging, yet highly rewarding specialty that she feels honored to practice.
