About Me
Dr. Aravind Pothula is a board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specializing in Hand Surgery and Peripheral Nerve Surgery. He holds additional subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Pothula brings expertise in complex hand and wrist surgery, as well as advanced techniques in nerve surgery, including the surgical management of neuropathic pain in amputees through targeted muscle reinnervation. His work is rooted in both patient-centered care and cutting-edge surgical techniques.
	
	Dr. Pothula completed his medical education at New Jersey Medical School and completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital. He further honed his skills in a Hand, Peripheral Nerve, and Microsurgery Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, under the mentorship of renowned experts in the field.
	
	Dr. Pothula’s research interests focus on surgical outcomes in hand and nerve surgery, with several publications and ongoing contributions to the field. He is passionate about advancing surgical care through both innovation and compassionate service, and he is excited to continue making a difference in the Mount Sinai community.
