Born in Mexico City, Graduated UNAM in Mexico in 1970 (MD), came to US in 1971. Did Internship and Residency at Brookdale Hospital until 1974, Did Felowship in Pulmonary at NYU?VAH in NYC, finished in 1976. Worked at Brookdale from 1976-1991 (part of AHB pulmonary Associates P.C), cae to Kings Highway in 1991 (was part of Kings Pulmonary Associates PC) until June of 2016. Now on my own as Arthur W Hammer MD, PLLC, from June 1st, 2016, practice at 3131 Kings Hwy, Suite C-3. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary. FACP, FCCP. Named in Castle and Connolly since 2000, Member of American Thoracic Society, NY trudeau Society, America Academy of Sleep Medicine. Member of Medical Board at Mount Sinai of Brooklyn, Member of P&T comittee

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
