About Me
Ashley Cunningham earned her Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Columbia University in 2016.
She earned her masters in biomedical sciences from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City in 2020 in the lab of Dr. Eric Nestler. Here she studied the paternal transmission of stress phenotypes across generations.
She is now a PhD student in the labs of Dr. Ian Maze and Dr. Eric Nestler at Mount Sinai. Ashley’s research seeks to understand the epigenetic mechanisms mediating the risk for developing mood disorders with a focus on serontylation. Ashley has been an associate in the SfN Neuroscience Scholars Program and is currently a NIH T32 fellow.
