About Me
Bahar Moghaddam, MD is an Assistant Professor of medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Moghaddam received her BA and MS in stem cell biology, and medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of British Columbia. She returned to the University of Toronto for her fellowship in rheumatology where she served as Chief Resident. During her training she completed research in lupus related mortality and neuropsychiatric lupus.
Dr. Moghaddam is Co-director of the multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Arthritis (IBDART) Clinic and has a strong interest in the management of complex IBD and Spondyloarthritis patients. She is also involved as a coinvestigator on a trial for novel lupus treatments. Her other clinical interests include management of rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue diseases and vasculitis, particularly in women and young adults.
