About Me
Dr. Barbara Stumacher has been in practice as an Internist for over 30 years. After completing her undergraduate studies at Adelphi University, Dr. Stumacher earned her doctorate of medicine from Buffalo Medical School. She then moved to Beth Israel Medical Center for both her internship and residency in Clinical Psychiatry and Internal Medicine, respectively. With her board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Stumacher specializes in Primary Care where she sees and treats a wide range of patients.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai in 2014, Dr. Stumacher held several clinical roles, including acting as an Attending at Beth Israel and as a physician in a Manhattan Internal Medicine private practice. When practicing medicine, Dr. Stumacher takes her time to listen to and evaluate her patients in order to develop an individualized treatment plan to address current medical issues. She feels it is important to educate her patients and promote wellness by focusing on preventative medicine.
