About Me
Barry Love, MD is Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. He is the Director of the Congenital Cardiac Catheterization Program at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Heart Center. Dr. Love holds a joint appointment in both the Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine and is one of only a few physicians who performs interventional procedures on patients with congenital heart disease from infancy through adulthood. He is board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology as well as Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
Dr. Love has authored numerous papers and book chapters in congenital heart disease and adult congenital heart disease as well as interventional catheterization in congenital and structural heart disease. He has a research interest in new device technology and is a principal investigator for several device trials. Dr. Love has been a pioneer in extending many of the techniques used in the treatment of congenital heart disease, to acquired heart lesions in adults such as perivalvular leaks and post-infarction ventricular septal defects.
