About Me
Dr. Castellano joined the faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and The Mount Sinai Hospital as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology in 2008. In 2014, he relocated his practice to the clinical care division of the Department.
A graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico Medical School, he completed his General Surgery Internship at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn and his Otolaryngology Residency at New York University Medical Center. As a highly-trained Otolaryngologist, he continued his studies and completed an American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York.
Dr. Castellano treats general otolaryngology patients of all ages. He has been practicing Otolaryngology in Staten Island since 1985 at which time he served as the Director of the Speech and Hearing Center at Staten Island Hospital. As an active practitioner on Staten Island, he has been privileged at the following hospitals: Richmond Memorial, Staten Island University, Bayley Seton, St. Vincent’s and Doctor’s Hospitals as well as serving various Staten Island nursing homes.
Dr. Castellano has provided longstanding, high quality care to the Staten Island community for many years and now continues his care as he joins his colleagues at the Mount Sinai Staten Island ENT practice.
