About Me
Bethany Slater, MD, is the Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Slater attended medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her residency in Surgery at Stanford University Hospital and a Pediatric Surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Slater provides care to children of all ages who suffer from a wide spectrum of conditions. She has extensive training and experience using minimally-invasive surgical techniques, which treats patients using a smaller incision that decreases post-surgical pain and speeds recovery.
Her clinical interests include anorectal malformations, chest wall deformities, congenital malformations, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), neonatal diseases, neonatal minimally invasive surgery, and pediatric cancer surgery.
Dr. Slater strives to provide compassionate care using evidence-based treatments. She works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure children receive personalized, complete approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of their conditions.
