Dr. Brian Ginsberg extends his knowledge and experience in cosmetic, laser and general dermatology to a wide and inclusive population. In treating all skin types, Dr. Ginsberg creates comprehensive treatment plans for both his medical and cosmetic patients.
After earning his BS degree in Human Biology, Health and Society at Cornell University in 2006, Dr. Ginsberg entered New York University School of Medicine and successfully completed his studies for his MD degree in 2011. He was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society during his final year of medical school. Dr. Ginsberg did his internship in Pediatrics at New York University Langone Medical Center and entered his Dermatology residency in 2012 in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology. He is eligible for Board certification and is licensed to practice medicine in New York.
Dr. Ginsberg is interested in the study of dermatologic issues as they affect the transgender community, which also has a higher incidence of HIV-associated diseases than other clinical populations He is the first person in the dermatology community to focus on transgender issues and has become a resource to physicians treating HIV and transgender patients. He has lectured widely on the subject, speaking on Sirius XM and has also published an article for the “Huffington Post” and is the author of a dermatology chapter in the first comprehensive textbook on LGBT healthcare.
