Dr. Brian Abittan is an exceptional dermatologist who combines extensive medical knowledge with genuine compassion and respect for his patients. He is consistently warm, pleasant, and kind, creating an atmosphere where I feel comfortable discussing my concerns and confident in the care I receive. What I appreciate most is that Dr. Abittan takes the time to understand my concerns, answer my questions, and consider my goals, preferences, and desired outcomes. While he provides thoughtful recommendations based on his expertise, he also respects my wishes and works collaboratively with me to determine the approach that best fits my needs. One example that reflects his patient-centered approach was when I shared that I preferred to postpone treatment of several facial skin concerns until after an important family event. Dr. Abittan was very reassuring and understanding. He explained that waiting would not be a problem and that we could address these concerns at my next visit. His response demonstrated his respect for my priorities and his commitment to providing care that fit my circumstance. I am particularly grateful for how conscientious and considerate Dr. Abittan is when recommending treatments, especially those that may involve discomfort or pain. He carefully explains options, and demonstrates genuine concern for my comfort and overall experience. His approach reflects not only his medical expertise, but also his compassion and dedication to patient-centered care. I am also very appreciative of his willingness to accommodate my request to see my husband on the same day of my next visit to accommodate our joint travel.
