Bridget Marcellino, MD, PhD
Cancer (Oncology), Hematology-Oncology
About Me
Bridget K. Marcellino, MD, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology & Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a physician scientist who is focused on elucidating the mechanisms driving the formation and progression of myeloid malignancies, with a specific interest in somatic mutations of the hematopoietic stem cell. Clinically, she had a clinic dedicated to individuals who are at high risk for developing a myeloid malignancy including individuals with evidence of clonal hematopoiesis (Clonal Hematopoiesis of Indeterminant Potential). Her preclinical studies funded by the NHLBI (K08 award) utilizes primary patient samples and murine models to evaluate the role of TP53 pathway in myeloid malignancy and the best methods to target this pathway. Dr. Marcellino is Director of the Tisch Cancer Institute Hematological Malignancies Tissue Bank and the NCI funded P01 funded Myeloproliferative Neoplasms-Research Consortium Tissue Bank (PI Ronald Hoffman).
