He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center before returning to NYU for his residency in Neurology. To finish his training, Dr. Malkani moved to the University of Pennsylvania for his fellowship in Sleep Medicine. With his certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Malkani offers expertise in a wide array of neurologic conditions, from common back pain to complicated migraines, as well as management of a full spectrum of sleep disorders.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Malkani served as Director of Sleep Neurology at Westchester Neurological Consultants. He has also co-authored peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters in Neurology.
On a personal level, Dr. Malkani is an avid sports fan and would enjoy the opportunity to be a sports broadcaster, even if temporarily. While he remains fond of traveling and delicious foods, his greatest joys come in time spent with his family, especially his two young daughters.
