About Me
Dr. Correa is an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology. He is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancer of the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, and upper gastrointestinal tract (stomach and duodenum). He takes a multidisciplinary approach to treat a wide variety of malignancies, and integrates minimally invasive, robotic, as well as traditional open techniques to meet the needs of each individual patient.
Dr. Correa completed his surgical residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, and a fellowship in complex surgical oncology with a focus on hepatopancreatobiliary surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He also completed research fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital and at Memorial Sloan Kettering and has published extensively on the management and prognosis of patients with upper gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic malignancies. Dr Correa has board certifications in General Surgery as well Complex Surgical Oncology.
