Carley Trentman, MD
About Me
Dr. Carley Trentman completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry with a minor in Sociology at the University of Kansas followed by medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her preliminary year in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City followed by her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai where she was a chief resident. She serves as an Associate Program Director for the Residency Program.
Dr. Trentman practices inpatient and outpatient physiatry. She focuses on treating patients with physical and/or cognitive impairments that can affect quality of life and ability to function through a holistic and multidisciplinary approach. She works closely with nursing staff, physical and occupational therapists, dieticians, and speech therapists to deliver quality patient care.
She has contributed to collaborative research with the Brain Injury Research Center at Mount Sinai and participates in a National Steering Committee for Brain Injury. She has also contributed to chapters in textbooks involving common musculoskeletal disorders and nutrition.
Her clinical interests include medical education, spasticity management with ultrasound guidance, amputee care, electrodiagnostic studies and geriatric rehabilitation.
