About Me
Carlos A. Rodríguez-Bonilla, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His clinical interests include treating gastrointestinal and thoracic malignancies. Dr. Rodríguez-Bonilla cares for patients with colorectal cancer, lung cancer, lymphoma, bleeding disorders, as well as other oncologic and blood related disorders. Dr. Rodríguez-Bonilla received his medical degree from the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, and served as Chief Medicine Resident at Health + Hospitals, Elmhurst Hospital Center in NYC. Dr. Rodríguez-Bonilla completed his subspecialty training with a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at MedStar Georgetown Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He is triple board-certified in the specialty of internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He is a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH). Dr. Rodríguez-Bonilla is fluent in English, and a native Spanish speaker, and can communicate with patients in both languages. Dr. Rodríguez-Bonilla is strongly committed to improving health disparities and providing expert and compassionate care to all of his patients and community.
