About Me

Carol Min Jin Cho, PhD (she/they) is a counseling psychologist at the World Trade Center Mental Health Program and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Clinical interests include working with folks who are navigating questions around different aspects of their identity, exploring relational concerns (e.g., difficulties with intimacy, repeated patterns of conflicts), and processing experiences of alienation/trauma within the context of family and broader social systems.

Relevant training experiences include attachment-focused treatment with new parents at Lenox Hill Hospital's perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD) program; Integrative harm reduction psychotherapy (IHRP) training; Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) for families and couples; trauma-informed treatment at multiple NYC hospital clinics.

**For former patients/clients who are interested in a one-time meeting to reflect on our work together, please reach out at carol.cho@mssm.edu. I would love to hear from you.
