Carolina Pombar, MD is a pediatrician at the Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice. After that she worked as an attending physician at the Pediatric Primary Care Center at Elmhurst Hospital where she was also involved in the training of new pediatricians. She spearheaded the improvement of the Medically Complex Patient Clinic at Elmhurst where patients with chronic and complex conditions were given multidisciplinary and comprehensive care. She also was instrumental in implementing a new educational curriculum for the pediatric clinic as Dr. Pombar is very passionate about medical education not only for the residents and medical students but also for the parents. She is a board certified pediatrician who is appointed as Assistant Professor in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Kravis Children’s Hospital and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Pombar lives with her husband, daughter and son on the Upper West Side.
