About Me
Dr. Caroline Messer is a double board-certified clinical endocrinologist practicing on the
Upper East Side of Manhattan. She is the co-founder of Fifth Avenue Endocrinology and the
founder of Well by Messer, a multi-specialty group with several offices in New York and
Connecticut.
Dr. Messer is actively engaged in clinical research and is a frequent guest lecturer to other
physicians on topics such as thyroid disease, weight loss management, osteoporosis,
polycystic ovary syndrome, and diabetes. She appears regularly on FOX, NBC, CBS, and
WPIX, has given interviews on various radio stations, and has authored numerous peer
reviewed articles.
Dr. Messer trained at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her undergraduate
degree at Yale University. She has been named by her peers to Castle Connolly Top Doctors
and Castle Connolly Top Doctors in New York Metro Area annually since 2016 and Super
Doctors® in The New York Times Magazine annually since 2015. She has been the recipient of the Castle Connolly Exceptional Women in Medicine Award since 2019. She is an associate professor at the Hofstra School of Medicine and a clinical assistant professor at the Icahn School of Medicine.
