About Me
After completing her undergraduate studies at Harvard University, Dr. Carolyn Rosen obtained her MD from NYU School of Medicine. She did both her residency in pediatrics and an ambulatory pediatric fellowship at NYU/Bellevue Medical Center. Upon completion of her fellowship, she joined the general pediatric faculty at NYU/Bellevue where her focus was on asthma and diabetes. Dr. Rosen joined the General Pediatric Academic faculty at Mount Sinai Medical Center in July 1999. Since joining, she has focused on resident education, asthma and obesity. She founded the Pediatric Associates Asthma Follow Up clinic, which is a program designed to decrease emergency room utilization and re-hospitalization following admission for asthma. From 2001-2004, Dr. Rosen was named Project Manager for one of the 22 nationally funded CDC Asthma Counselor intervention programs. She has continued her work with this program in collaboration with the NYC Department of Health, training four asthma counselors currently working in East Harlem. In addition to her regular responsibilities as a member of the division of general pediatrics, she was named Continuity Clinic Director in July 2002 and became Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2006. Since becoming Associate Program Director, she has had a particular interest in evaluations of both residents and fellows in the General Academic Pediatric Fellowship.
