About Me

Catrina Cropano, MD, is the Medical Director of the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Emergency Department and an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Cropano continues to serve as Assistant Medical Director at the Mount Sinai West Emergency Department where she has made numerous contributions to the operations, quality and patient safety missions in Emergency Medicine and has spearheaded systemwide EM Preparedness efforts.  Dr. Cropano has focused on system downtime procedures, risk reduction, gender equity in medicine, and leadership through teamwork.

Dr. Cropano remains committed to education through her work and serves as Director of the Administration rotation for senior emergency medicine residents at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West.

Dr. Cropano completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West in 2021, where she served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship Emergency Department Administration and Patient Safety.  Dr. Cropano received her medical degree from the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University with High Distinction in a research track.
