About Me

Catrina Cropano, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside Hospitals.  She is the Associate Medical Director at the Mount Sinai West Emergency Department, where she has made numerous contributions to operations, quality, and patient safety in Emergency Medicine. She has also spearheaded systemwide Emergency Medicine preparedness efforts, with a focus on system downtime procedures, risk reduction, gender equity in medicine, and leadership through teamwork.

She also remains committed to education and serves as Director of the Administration rotation for senior Emergency Medicine residents at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West.

Dr. Cropano completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West in 2021, where she served as chief resident. She then pursued a fellowship in Emergency Department Administration and Patient Safety. Dr. Cropano earned her medical degree with High Distinction in a research track from the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
